7 Good Habits to Call Yourself a Brilliant Writer

There is a saying “Either write something worth reading, or do something worth writing”. Writing is truly an imagination of a writer and it depicts the picture you want to show the world. Actually writing starts initially with the exploration because you discover the words as far you go in your writing.

Developing a good writing habit is not a one-day thing. It requires years of hard work and practice. By following some of the habits, surely you will be able to become a good writer.

One of the most important thing while doing anything is the time management. And when it comes to writing, obviously it is something that requires a proper Time Management.

When to write? Where to write? And What to Write are some of the important questions you ask yourself. Make a decision that you are pretty sure to write on weekends if you indulge in that “9 to 6” job. Also, set a timer if needed and become your own unreasonable boss. If you really want to become a good writer, then the very first step i.e, time management will always help you in this.

Set your Goals

Goal setting is very necessary while writing as then you will be able to decide, that what I how much I had written and what else I have to add on to keep my article worth reading. If you want you can divide your goals in terms of innings.

For example, 3-6 months, 6-12 months or 12 months to 3 years. What you have to do is, you will set the content as for how much I will write in the first 3 months and furthermore.

Set Your Target Audience

It is very important to the target audience if you want to make your content setting footprints to someone’s mind. For example, suppose you are writing a content over what is been trending in the politics. So, the people interested in entertainment news would not be interested in reading your blogs. Therefore, you need to focus the audience you are meant to write for and make sure to present them the right information.

Sorry for writing this point later, but a good writer must be a good reader. The more you read, more you will be able to write. Also, a good reading habit never let you in sort of words. You get to grow more with your every content using more vocabs.

Try to Learn One New Word a Day

How often you crave for learning a new word in a day? If it’s not you, then surely you are not a good writer. A writer always plays with the words to engage the audience. If you don’t write something provoking, for sure your writing is never gonna reach the place for which it is meant to be.

Write With the Doors Closed

Actually, this statement is not as straight as it seems to be. Some of you might think you just have to close the doors while writing in order to avoid the disturbance.

But my sense of telling this is different. Let me explain. Actually, you are the one who knows everything about the starting and ending of your story. Sometimes, other people try to give their name to your content, which could be a harm to you. To avoid these activities kindly don’t develop a habit of revealing your content unless it is ready to be showcased.

Try to Watch Movies Like a Writer

A writer can learn a lot from the movies. Like in the movies, the whole story is depicted within the 3 hours and with turns and twists, similarly, develop a habit of creating your story within a book. The story should be presented from reader’s point of view as what your audience expects from you.

Remember, if you don’t write anything as what your audience expects from you, there are fewer chances to be successful.
