Because every person has some beliefs, opinions or views that they want to pass on to everyone they meet. Relatives, friends and people you know often tell you things that might not necessarily be all true, but when it comes to health, you must think before believing things. 1. Wet hair causes cold

This is an extremely popular myth that you must have always heard from everyone you know! But the scientific study shows, that there is no direct linkage between the two. Although leaving the hair wet when you’re already having a cold can exaggerate the condition. Cold and fever occur mostly due to allergies or viral infections, not due to wet hair.

2. You need to drink at least 8 glass of water

This is something you have definitely heard and read about several times. But there are many of us who drink six or 7 glasses in a day and they’re absolutely normal. This is the myth that drinking too much water will keep you healthy. Although, excessive drinking water can dilute your body fluids which are not at all healthy for your body. So, stop forcing yourself to drink water in excess even when you don’t feel thirsty.

3. Reading in dim light damages eye-sights

Yes, your eyes will certainly be put under extra strain when you read in dim light, but as such there is no scientific evidence to show that eyesight will be damaged.

This is because skipping meals will only result in you overeating at the next level. Even dark chocolates are good for skin since they’re rich in antioxidants. 

7. Sunscreen is not required in winters

Most of us either get too lazy to apply sunscreen in winters. We all of us simply believe that it if there isn’t enough sunlight then the skin is safe. But the truth is that the Earth is closer to the sun during the winter months, which means our skin is exposed to the harmful UV rays. In today's time, every dairy products come under low-fat tag including butter, mayonnaise, cheese, and cream. 9. Body heat is lost mostly from head

So, if you go out with your head covered and your hands and legs exposed, then you will lose heat anyway.

Studies have shown that there is zero truth in this theory. So, do not be afraid to give your child a sweet treat. Although, if sweets are consumed in excess, it can make your child overweight and tamper with their oral health.
